Some of you out there may take it as a coincidence that the Mets beat the Dodgers Wednesday by getting a dominating pitching performance and scoring twelve runs. But I’m telling you it’s more than luck, more than coincidence. When your starting pitcher goes eight and a third and you get clutch two out hits, leading to twelve runs it’s a sign. A sign of what this team could be.

I had the rare opportunity to speak with former Baltimore Oriole’s 3B Brooks Robinson. You will remember Brooks for his 23 year career playing for the Orioles, but what you might not know is that he started as a second baseman. With both NY teams showing early inconsistencies Mike and Howard evaluate the job performance of Willie Randolph and Joe Girardi. They will also talk about the recent outcry for the dismissal of Willie Randolph by fans and Tim Marchman of the NY Sun.

During the second half hour we will roundtable about the recent Costas Now show which discussed new media and how its impacted sports. Howard and Mike will give their take on the opinions of Will Leitch, Buzz Bissinger, and WFAN personalities Mike Francesa and Chris Russo. They are hoped to be joined by Maureen Ryan “The Yankees Chick” to get her take on blogging.
